It's Vegas Baby!

The time has come again for the Gathering. Time for all us wayward fans to toddle home to not at all boring - what ever city was picked for that year.

Bad paraphrasing aside...

This year I'm headed for the fabled, Sin City USA; also known as Las Vegas, Nevada. Not so much with the sining these days what with the whole shift towards family friendly and all. But I don't think Vegas is ever going to kill its sinfull reputation.

It's not going to be my first trip to the land of outlandish hotels, cheep buffets, and slot machines. I was there a few years ago on my way to LA for the Gathering. It was fun, but now I'm old enough for the full Vegas experience. That is, I can legally do more than cut accross the casino floor in an attempt to get from one end of the place to the other.

This year's gonna be great. Aside from the whole Vegas thing (which in itself is going to rock), there's the Gathering itself. Celebirty poker with the cast (watching, not playing), the Masquerade, Tournament of the Kings, traditional post-con amusement park, pannels, seeing everyone other than A. Fan again (He lives about 5 minutes away from me, so I can see him whenever I want really)...

Packing's a bitch though. And my thoughts are disorganized.

But it's Vegas baby!

A few good things have come from preparing for the Gathering though. I got my mom to do my laundry for me, and I found a couple of things that I've misplaced (a pen and a NGE fanfic I started writing a couple of years ago).
